• Following the huge success of its Antwerp store, at the start of September 2009, Van Bommel opened its second own brand boutique in the Zuidzandstraat in Bruges.
  
  Interior
  As with the Antwerp store, the interior was been supplied by ‘Pure Sang’. Van Bommel aims to deliver a uniform image in all its stores. For that reason, the decision was taken to repeat the style of the flagship store in Antwerp, in the Bruges outlet. One of the eye-catching details is a path of leather tiles that makes its way from behind the counter over the wall, the ceiling and the floor. The ceiling and the wall, from a section halfway into the store, are coated with black mosaic tiles made from coconut. This landscaped effect, just like in Antwerp, in emphasised by the complete absence of any right-angled corners in the interior.
  
  Location
  Bruges has for a long time been high on the priority list for a Van Bommel store. Together with Antwerp and Brussels, Bruges is a major shopping centre. The city already has a large number of attractive stores, a pleasant atmosphere and a marvellous historical environment. All in all a top location!
