• On 14 February 2008, Van Bommel opened its first flagship store at a top location in Antwerp. In a floor space of 120 m2, in premises with six metre-high ceilings, the complete collections from Van Bommel, Floris van Bommel and Noble Blue are displayed. The interior was designed by the ‘Pure Sang' agency, a firm that has already established a reputation with prestigious interiors for leading brands including Tommy Hilfiger, Bread & Butter, Bacardi and Coca Cola. A central element in the store is a floating black box that is accessible via a white metal stairway in the centre of the store. A 16 metre-long light sculpture suspended in free space wends its way right across the interior. The floors and furniture are in rosewood, and the walls, produced from rough, white natural stone, are covered with leather tiles that have been tanned using vegetable tanning agents.
